Our Founder

Achieving health is a fundamental right of every human being, and while we have moved the needle in improving the health status of populations worldwide, we continue to lag in achieving healthcare that is easily accessible, high quality, safe, and equitable for all patients. For this reason, I have devoted my career to understanding how we can solve complex public health problems that hinder populations from achieving the highest level of health and wellbeing.

Improving the care of populations, particularly, underserved and rural communities is what gives me passion and motivation to do more and nudge the industry to embrace innovation as a solution to intractable problems. At iHealthcare, we focus our attention and resources to meet the need to unhinge our traditional approaches to healthcare delivery and recognize that healthcare system transformation is no longer an ideal and futuristic option. We must embrace it and understand it to keep up with the rapid pace of evolving public policies that impact the stability and profitability of healthcare systems. I have spent most of my career working at the highest levels of the healthcare system and in clinical settings in Latin America, cementing my belief that providers at the frontlines should focus on delivering the best patient care, while public health scientists like myself work on improving clinical practices and protocols that govern care delivery. We can work together with the clinical community to support intelligent patient care by designing and facilitating the implementation of strategies that align with current policy trends, innovations in health information technologies. and healthcare delivery models.

iHealthcare is designed as a nimble consulting firm that adapts to the evolving market trends to help organizations (large and small) thrive. We uniquely employ a multidisciplinary approach to leverage data and analytics with the ultimate goal to improve organizational agility in the Digital Age. We strongly believe in using data, policy insights, technology, and scientifically sound approaches to re-engineer organizational processes in a way that benefits the people as consumers of these services. We are seeing an increase in data rich organizations, but many lack the opportunity to capitalize on data assets to make meaningful and cost-effective changes that translate to better outcomes. How and when to use data is a learned skill that we need to embed into organizational culture. iHealthcare was designed to help organizations leap into this cultural shift that encourages the use of data-driven insights that lead to meaningful change.

While iHelathcare is rooted in years of diversified experience in the public health arena, we strongly believe that science is universal and similar principles can propagate among other industries. Improving services to consumers while protecting an organization’s financial viability is difficult to achieve. However, the appropriate support from expert consultants enables organizations to meet this goal. I believe that healthcare systems have the capabilities, if re-designed correctly, to become intelligent—using their own generated data to effectuate change and improve accountability for patient outcomes. We extend this core concept to other organizations. Recognizing the inevitable complexities inherent to this charge, I founded this consulting group to bring together multi-disciplinary experts that understand the needs for transformation and collaboration across industries and to collectively support the modernization of organizations seeking to align with the digital innovations that penetrate their corresponding markets.

This company was designed to fluidly work across the continuum of complex, data-rich organizations. We unequivocally assert one industry alone cannot operate and progress in a vacuum. We must seek to establish connections within and across industries to collectively inform public policies impact our digital future. After spending over 13 years in the public sector, I am excited to come full circle to lead this company and join the digital transformation movement to modernize healthcare and leverage these learnings to other businesses that have similar modernization goals. I am deeply committed to using my experiences in domestic and international healthcare settings to achieve my life-long dream to lead organizational change in a way that brings meaningful impact to people. I also believe that equity needs to remain central to this goal as we help people and communities achieve their full potential regardless of any obstacles such as: socioeconomic status, race/ethnicity, gender identity, or place of residence.  I am excited to partner with you on your digital transformation journey and extend my sincere appreciation for your interest in Intelligent Healthcare Consulting Group!
